Commissioned portraits in vibrant colors are now available to you through the magic brushes of Mele Flórez-Avellán. The beauty of larger than usual portrait paintings is to see the details of that special person’s face in big format, filled with colors that jump to your eyes from the canvas.

Mele Flórez-Avellán has done portraits in unusual color palettes chosen by her models – see examples in the Goddesses and Warriors series. Blue or gold skin, multicolor faces, everything is possible in the acrylic medium painting world.

Models are welcome to select their favorite color combination to be used in their portraits, allowing the owner of the painting to match a particular room, mood or just to please their artistic taste. Mele takes close-up pictures of the person and along with the client selects the best one to be used as a model for the painting. Mele can also provide guidelines on how to take your own pictures if you don’t live in Houston, Texas. The commissioned portrait paintings can be shipped anywhere in the world.
