Mele Flórez-Avellán has done portraits in unusual color palettes chosen by her models – see examples in the Goddesses and Warriors series. Blue or gold skin, multicolor faces, everything is possible in the acrylic medium painting world.

Models are welcome to select their favorite color combination to be used in their portraits, allowing the owner of the painting to match a particular room, mood or just to please their artistic taste. Mele takes close-up pictures of the person and along with the client selects the best one to be used as a model for the painting.
