Cypress Falls junior Neil Caskey made his first trip to the Class 5A State Swim Meet a memorable one by winning both the 200-yard individual medley (IM) (1:50.04) and 100-yard butterfly (49.50) last week at Austin.
It was Caskey's first year at state because he has been swimming exclusively in national meets with his club team, The Fleet, in hopes of qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb.
The hard work finally paid off when Caskey won

The Cypress Falls Golden Eagles have not lost a District 17-5A team tennis match in more than two years.
But that doesn't make Lee Joiner's team the overwhelming favorite to win district. Not with Cypress Creek and Cy-Fair lurking.

In Regional Tennis, Abby Liu captured a first round victory (6-0,6-0) over a
Deer Park competitor, advancing to the quarterfinals. In this round, Abby fell to a Cinco Ranch competitor (6-4, 6-4). Congratulations to all Eagle tennis players on another outstanding year!

Cy-Falls won the district tennis championship, with an undefeated 10-0 record in district play and an overall record of 15-2.

Cy-Falls won the district tennis championship, with an undefeated 10-0 record in district play and an overall record of 15-2. The Eagles went on to become regional quarterfinalists, defeating Bryan in the first round 10-3.

The Cy-Falls tennis team is 10-1 overall and 7-0 in district (prior to final district game vs Langham). The Eagles have clinched the top seed for the district tournament starting Wed., Oct. 22, playing either Cy-Fair or Cy-Creek in the semifinals.

Tennis Eagles Eye the Post-Season
Congratulations to both the Eagles varsity and junior varsity tennis teams for their successful campaigns through the month of September.
